Please Pray

Last Thursday we went up to the Federal Building in Pittsburgh to say good bye to our cousin Justin as he shipped out for the Navy. He will be at Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois for the next nine weeks. He called home yesterday and said that this is harder than he thought and did not know if he could make it. I know that he can. Please join us in praying for Justin. This is a picture of Pearl and Justin that day right before we left.

Pearl is a ham. She has already been asking where Justin is. No one ever told Justin boot camp would be easy, but rather it would be worth it and life changing.

As we got ready to leave Justin at the waiting area to leave for the airport to Great Lakes I reminded Justin what that the Navy works hard to instill in every Sailor: honor, courage, and commitment.

I am glad to see these important moral qualities are so central to the Naval branch of our Armed forces.

And I am praying that Justin sees this is the right thing and does not give up.

Justin if you get to read this someday, you have been in our prayers, and continue to be in our prayers.
